I Can Only Shake My Head at Myself
I pulled out an old UFO and started working on it Friday at my quilt guild meeting and I continued working on it all weekend. It is an English Paper Pieced table topper. I haven't looked at it for a long time and have been working on piecing all of the hexagons together. I made a lot of progress. Of course I thought I knew what I was doing so I didn't look at the layout on the pattern. Yesterday I layed it out to look at it and discovered I pieced it together wrong!!! I can't believe it... I have to rip out hand work. What I really want to do is crumble it up and throw it in a corner but I am going to try to be calm and regroup so I can carry on. If you hear crumpling tonight at TUFO it is only me.

Diane - Mari used to help me a lot but she is on to my ways of asking for help so she will do things for me. We told her she needs to learn to say no. Now she ALWAYS says no, at least to me.
I got all of my ripping out done. I did it the old fashioned way. No chocolate or wine, I blamed myself not Gayle, I didn't swear either. It would have been more fun but I just quietly ripped. Thanks for all of your support. At least I got to laugh about it and enjoy all of your suggestions.

The wine will make you sleepy, but the chocolate will give you a sugar high. Swearing loudly might give you a headache. Just give it to Mari to do and go out with Karen for the evening.

Do you have a movie you really want to watch? A really long movie or mini series. Add that with the wine and the chocolate and you might not resent the ripping out too much. But it's probably easier to just swear creatively and blame Galye with or without wine and chocolate.
