Quilt With Us

Last week I started a cover to put over a big screen t.v.  I don't remember leaving one of my land line phones on the ironing board in the sewing room but I laid the t.v. cover over it. I have been tearing this apartment apart all week looking for that phone. Even went to the garbage bin thinking I might have thrown it in a trash bag.  Can't you just picture me going through those bags I put out there?  Perhaps the neighbors just thought I had taken up  a new hobby "Dumpster Diving". I tried the beeper but it was so close to the other phone I just thought I was hearing that other phone. Today I decided to finish the t.v. cover and found it. The only place I DIDN'T look.

I love your story. Each week I feel like I am a little goofier than I was the week before. If I didn't spend so much time searching for things I good get a lot of quilting projects completed.

Too funny, Irene. Sounds like some of my crazy days!

Thanks for sharing!  It is always great to hear other stories that let us know we're all human, and all need to laugh at ourselves now and again.  In my case, it's usually again and again.

That's quite a record Sharon for being the driest on record since 1912. I love making small quilt projects. A friend of mine has been making Micro bowl plate holders to put in a sale this Fall. I never get time to make enough to put in a sale. I'm lucky to find time to work on any of my own projects.

Irene, I suppose it depends on what's in the dumpster!!!! That's not my favorite thing to do, but sometimes necessary. I'm glad that you found your phone and now have a new subject to talk about with friends. Summer is coming and in my NW corner, we've tied the driest May on record with 1912, I think. I've been sewing place mats, Micro Wave Bowl potholders, coasters, Micro bowl plate holder and potholders for a cousin's grandson's wedding. Now back to Project Linus baby quilts.

Sharon, what do you say we start a new venture."Dumpster Diving"? We could make money to support our fabric addiction. lol

Oh Irene, this is too funny. Not at the time, but later you'll see how it is funny, but frustrating. I've been there and done that. I put something down and then can't find it. Guess we all do those things. So, you're not alone and you've got lots of company. I've even dumpster dived!!!!

So frustrating!  Glad the lost is found.

That is funny.  I have done that with fabric, but never with a phone!
