When I make a dresden plate pattern the center of my plate is always too big. I like the center circle to be small.  Does anyone have suggestions as to why this happens. I appreciate any and all suggestions.

Excellent answer Pam.  That is exactly how you would make the center circle smaller.  Just remember the smaller the center circle, the narrower each tapered spoke/petal will be.

I too like the center to be small...just extend the template and cut it where you like it.
