Quilt With Us

They just seem to find me when I'm outside in the summer.  Because of that, I was attracted to the main fabric in this quilt and began it last summer at a 3-day retreat.  I often put a dragonfly somewhere in my quilts, but this one is of full of them!  Nicole machine quilted it for me, and when I showed it to her, she sighed, "Oh..flanges...again."  They have to be quilted around, and not down.  They are the 3-D quarter inch black borders around each of the panel sections.  This one has an (UNINTENTIONAL, believe me!) Amish Error or Humility Block, but I'm going to show it anyway, and make kind of a game out of it on the description page.  Neither Nicole nor I noticed it until the quilt was completely finished.  Can you find it?

I had to look really hard for your Amish error. Showsyou are just human like the rest of us. The quilt is really nice. These panelled quilts you are doing are stunning. Can't wait to see the next one!

I only found mistake because Sharon told me where to look!  Never would have found it on my own.  Beautiful work- as always.

Pam:  Yes she is!  She's new to the task, but a really quick learner.  I'm not handing out her last name because then she'd never have time for MY stuff!

A break?  Pam, we're less than half way!  One more tomorrow.

If you hadn't told us about the mistake, none of us probably would have spotted it.  The eye so drawn to those beautiful dragonflies!  Beautiful quilt.

Stunning...your long arm is very good. I've done that same mistake...Gorgeous quilt to add to your collection! Your hands need a break lady!

A simple turned block is so easy to overlook, isn't it?  A week or so I teased Linda "Sue" (gently, I hope) about an "Amish Error" in her flannel quilt.  None of us are immune!  I must have looked at this border a hundred times when it was up on the design wall!

I found the mistake in the lower right corner, but you do know, that a quilt without a mistake is not a true quilt. We don't have to make a perfect quilt for someone to love and cuddle with it. Your quilt is so beautiful with all the dragonflies and love your border and outside border. You did a great job!!!!!

I like the idea of having something - in your case dragonflies - in many of your quilts, kind of a signature.  Beautiful quilt and I really like the name too.  The outer border fabric was an excellent choice too.
