Quilt With Us

We have moved back to our main house…at the lake on weekends. What an awesome summer we had and Fall is starting out gorgeous. Went to a Barn Festival last weekend in Remsen, NY. They close down main street and vendors sit up their booths. Not much shopping for us... but the homemade soups and local food was outstanding! The had a small quilt show, that was lovely.

I have been challenged to learn how to play the Ukulele. There's three couples at the lake that have to make up a song and one of you has to play the ukulele. Now, this is the last thing I thought I'd learn to do! But, these couples are very competitive and I will not lose without trying!!!! As you see the title of the book Absolute Beginner…it better be!!!! I have several small quilt projects I want to get started on for the holidays. My sewing room needs a good cleaning and then I can get down to business. Have a great week!

What FUN!!!  The boys will be excited about it as well, I'm sure.  You can teach them!

You will have to learn this one.

Someone must make a video of this! No doubt you can do it, and will have a ball learning!

Sounds like fun. But if you tell us the band was a hit and your going out on tour, I may move to a remote island!  Just kidding.  Let us know how things are going

Too fun! It reminds me of when I was a little girl and my dad was in the Navy. We lived in Pearl Harbor and he bought a ukulele and took some lessons. I remember part of the lyrics to a song he played and sang -- "Love her, and leave her, standing on the lava."

Good for you I must say you are good sport, taking up the challenge.

Learning to play a musical instrument is challenging anytime. I applaud you for taking it up.
