I have great news! Our youngest DD got engaged on Labor Day! She is our baby and sooooooo excited. She has waited for just the right ONE and the Lord has blessed her with a wonderful fiancé. We have known for a while that they were planning to get married. She lives not far from DH and I here in Arkansas, he and family live and around Denver. They made it official with a hot air balloon ride in Colorado on Labor Day. No long engagements here, wedding will probably be last Saturday in October.
So now Mom needs to make a wedding quilt. I told her it would NOT be done by the end of October. She said that was fine. We are members of the local Farmers Market and that goes until the end of October and I have been neck deep in veggies for several months. I have carpal tunnel and have been down in my back for about 8 weeks (from picking and packing all these wonderful veggies). My chiropractor has been out of town the whole time I have been messed up, I went to another one and didn't get much help.
When she was about 14 she decided she really liked the 30's reproduction prints so I would buy a little here and a little there, not sure if she would like them later. I have used some of them for a baby quilt and a block swap. Last night she asked if I still had them and could I make them a quilt with those. Of course I have PLENTY of the 30's left. She wants me to pick a pattern, so I'm looking at books and magazines. I saw a quilt tutorial on Missouri Quilt Co. you tube channel some time back that I really like, it's called Fence Rail Diamond Quilt (I'm sorry I'm not computer smart enough for a link).
I would be interested in pattern suggestions from the ladies here.
I would like to add I really like reading the posts that are put here. I've only posted a few times myself, seems I don't have much that would be interesting to ya'll, but I love that the ya'll share your goings on with all of us. Please keep it up.
