This Summer and Fall have been super busy in my life and also my sewing room. Lots of alterations all Summer plus the usual Summer activities. No court date yet. It keeps getting postponed.
I'm working on a quilt called Wild Flower by MSQC. I'm hoping to get two of them done for my two youngest granddaughters. I haven't picked a pattern yet for their brother. I would like to get them done for Christmas but with company in Sept. and also Oct. I'm running behind on them. Burning the mid night oil working on the first quilt.
I joined Curves. I went for 4 years and then quit as my body was hurting all over. I learned later that my body was hurting due to a cholesterol med I was on. I have been losing weight and needed to tone up. With no one but myself to cook for I am eating healthier and eating less. No ice cream and sweets in the house. I buy the little boxes of raisins to eat if my sweet tooth is aching for something sweet.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all. ~ Irene

I hope you get your projects finished and I'm glad you are able to enjoy lots of time sewing!
Good for you for joining Curves! I keep saying I need to go back to working out but always make excuses. I know I will feel better if I do I just need more motivation!
Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving!
I'm glad to hear you are doing better, staying busy and getting stronger. I get the food thing. If I am home alone in the evening, I don't eat much because I don't cook much. Normal days, I guess I try to keep up with DH.
Sounds like you are staying out of trouble!!! lol I sure could use some exercise to lose weight and tone up...but, now that it's winter I don't get out as much as living at the lake in the summer. You have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Strangely enough, something sour can appease a sweet tooth as well as something sweet. Try a dill pickle. If you've been off sugar for some time, everything tastes sweeter. I remember my first peach after I gave up sugar. Yum!
Good to hear from you. Happy Thanksgiving to you, too! I am sorry to hear you still have the stress of the court date hanging over you, but it sounds like you are staying very busy, and doing well. Give yourself a pat on the back for staying strong.
It is nice to see a message from you Irene. It must be frustrating to have the court date continuously postponed.
Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
Sounds like you've made some positive, healthy changes and are getting in some quilting time, too! What could be better?
