I must be attractive to the bugs!

Yuck, I got stung by a hornet today while helping DH repair the shed.  It's so reminiscent of that incident from 2 years ago where I was stung by a bunch of wasps.  I must have used up 2 cans of that wasp and hornet killer spray to drive them away from the shed.  Thankfully, I didn't get any allergic reaction this time.  I guess that's the downside of warm weather, all the bugs come out and attack mercilessly.  I dare not go deeper into the shed to look for that screened gazebo we have, thinking there must be more bugs and spiders in there waiting to harm me.

On a quilty note, I have put together the blocks for the Country Fair quilt...I'm now working on the flying geese borders.  And I have just one more block to finish for the Hawaiian quilt. And, DGD has laid out all the dress patterns (10 of them) she wants me to do for her doll, so I must make time for that.

As long as your not allergic- make a paste of water and baking soda- put on sting, when it dries up reapply- it will neutralize the venom. Will also work on most insect bites- just don't use on anyway under the age of two( don't remember exactly why )

Sometimes where you get stung  like near a vein can cause a reaction .

Your right about Summer and the bugs. One of the draw backs to enjoying the great outdoors.  I'm glad you didn't have a reaction to the sting.  Looking forward to seeing your quilts and doll clothes.

Ouch!  Sorry to hear about that hornet.  Those darn stings can hurt for some time!

On a happier note, sounds like we can look forward to seeing some beautiful quilt pictures.  Have fun with those doll clothes!

Glad you didn't have a reaction this time.  I thinks sewing doll clothes is a great plan.

Ouch!  Do you use shampoo that has a strong fragrance or maybe perfume?  If so that might be what is attracting those awful things.
