Quilt With Us

for the most part any way.  Over the last couple of days I have been moving material and such from the one room to the larger room.  All that I have left to move is the longarm.  Still holding out for him to come home and move the darn thing while I am at work.  After all he moved it into the room, only fair he should move it back, and all the material stashed in said closet. I've posted the pictures on my page of both ends of the room.  Sense all this moving started and he has been home complaining about how much dinning table space I take up cutting my material, I decided it was time to go shopping!!!  I can't use the one table in the picture because I have my computer and the sewing machine and little enough space to cut material.  Yes I had him cut out a space for my sewing machine to sit in the table.  Works great for me!  So I went to my local discount scratch and dent store and found a table.  This one is considerably higher than a regular dining table and came with the stools.  I tried to buy  just the table but they insisted the stools came with. So having found no scratch or dents on said table I offered less and won. This of course brought the shaking head from the other half as I went to pay for the table.  Now I can cut material without having to bend over any tables and my bad back may actually become my friend again.

I like that table...great buy.  I am so behind in getting my room organized.  But your post hit home because just this morning I said (to myself of course) that I really needed to free up the dining room table from all the fabric and projects laying about.  Maybe today...maybe today!

I'm 6 feet tall and HAVE to have a tall table for cutting - I use a table made for kitchen's, like a small center island that has 2 small drawers and it's perfect.  Yours is pretty too - bonus!

Nice table Kathy, I like the draws. I would find those handy for my rotary cutter, a box of pins, marking tools etc. I hate runing around all the time hunting down the things I need to take to my cutting table which is in an ajoining room next to my sewing room.

I can attest to this one - a higher table is better for cutting fabrics, you don't have to bend down too much.

I hope the table will work. The stools should also become handy when you cut for long periods of time.
