Quilt With Us

Well, I got up, had my coffee and got ready for work.  I get up at 330 AM to be to work by 5AM.  Decided to go out and see the "snow" on the ground.  Well, under it is a sheet of ice.  None of the weatherpeople saw it coming, but before we got our dusting of snow we got some sleet and all the roads in the area are covered with ice and a little snow on top.  Soooooo- I will not be going to work today.  I will spend my free day in my sewing room working on my projects.  San Antonio is closed until we get above freezing and all the interstates and highways are closed.  Everyone please be safe out there today!

What a bummer to have a day off to get to sew!!!!!My sister used to live in SA and now lives in Boerne. Hope it warms up quick for you. Unusual weather for there.

Enjoy your day off!  Hopefully you were able to go back to bed for a bit!

I hope your enjoying your day off from work. It's a good thing not to go out on ice. Not much you can do either on foot or in the car when you start sliding.

Enjoy your "snew day"!  We had this the other day too...it was treacherous in the early morning but then cleared up for the evening commute!  The sun is out today...missed it...love it!  Stay safe!

Lynne, saw this on Good Morning American this morning.  Every place looked like a skating rink.  This is never a good thing even for us in the Northeast who are used to the snow and cold weather.  Stay inside and enjoy your sewing room!
