Quilt With Us

In the presence of his angels......

Hello everyone.

I wanted to share with you what happened today. As some of you know my youngest Danny has special-needs. We started a new class today, music therapy through distance learning. He got to go live with a class of other special-needs kids and they did their music therapy. They listen to different types of music and are playing with instruments at the same time. They may all have a drum or bells etc and are going to the beat. They even did the hand-jive!! Remember that one?? lol  Today was Rock and Roll (60-70's).  I was truly in the presence of HIS Angels today listening and watching them interact with their teacher and each other. As I sat watching, I had to hold back the tears of these special and unique people having the times of their lives. Even Danny was getting into it!!! It was totally awesome!!! When you are having a bad day or the problems of the world seem to weigh so heavy...it is the best medicine anyone could get. I think my heart was even smiling. I was truly touched and blessed not only by my son having fun but the joy of watching the other students having fun too!! When you cross the paths of these special people, remember, they are God's Angels and take the gift they are trying to give to you whether it's a smile or them dancing to the music!!!!  I got the privilege of sitting before a part of Heaven's Band today!!!! God Bless!!!

Way to go Danny!!!!!!   I can see him now!!!  Oh Sharon, I am so glad he had so much fun and the others too!!!  And your joy as well. This was something much needed and a wonderful gift from God.  I know all of your cups were overflowing with the joy of the Lord and Heavens music!!!!!!   The true joy in this life is not in things it is in moments like these. Thank you for taking us there with you. I love you and your family, Linda

What a wonderful concert that had to have been Sharon. Your description sent shivers through me. I've worked a little with special needs kids over the years and you are so right about them being God's Angels.  It is so awesome to see their delight in the things we overlook and have forgotten how wonderful they are.  Thank you for sharing about Danny's, and your, day.  By the way.... you are a very awesome mom too!

Thank you for sharing. How easy it is for us to get weighed down with the problems of life and to forget God's blessings in the ordinary events of the day. God bless your son and all special people.
