Quilt With Us

Sorry it has been so long since I got on my page and said or did anything.  I have been pretty busy quilting and teaching quilting at JoAnn's in Waco.  I got a new longarm quilting machine.  It is a 26" Janome  Artistic quilter.  I love it.  I can quilt an entire king-size quilt in about 3 & 1/2 passes.  It runs so smoothly and the bobbins are huge, so they hold a lot of thread.  It only takes about 3 or 4 bobbins to do a whole quilt.  Love, love, love it.  Our 15-year-old granddaughter and 12-year-old grandson are living with us now.  I plan to teach my granddaughter to sew and maybe quilt this summer.  My grandson just likes dreaming under quilts for the time being.  My youngest son, Jon asked his beautiful girlfriend, Sarah to marry him over the May 5th weekend.  She said "Yes".  We are all so happy for them both.  We are expecting a Spring wedding.  I think I am making the wedding cake.  Maybe doing a lot of the decor as well.  It mostly depends on the venue they choose.  I might get to just show up and enjoy myself if the venue will do all of the work for us.  Cross your fingers.  Not that I don't want to do it, I just may have lost a step or two at cake decorating since my last big wedding cake.  I would hate to disappoint.  Our oldest son, Josh, has a nice new girlfriend, Dawn. Our middle son, Jared, is getting to see his sons on a regular basis finally.  Divorce is not fun.  I missed seeing the boys for so long.  They grew up so much while we weren't looking.  My husband, Joe, is still working way too many hours and trying to figure out a way to get me my dream quilting house,  All of my sewing, quilting, and embroidery machines would be in the same room with storage and display space.  We have figured out how much room that would take, just not how to make it happen, YET.  Well, I guess I have run on long enough.  I will mosey along and try to post a few new quilt photos soon.

You are a busy lady, thanks for stopping by and updating us on all your news.  I'm sure your DGD will enjoy learning to quilt.  I taught my oldest DGD to quilt.  She made her first quilt at age 11.  She is now married, living in Georgia and expecting her first baby.  I hope you find a way to get that quilting house so all your stuff is in one space.

That new long-arm machine sounds wonderful.  Seems you have a lot going on right now.  The idea of a dream quilting house sounds so-o nice.  What a great hubby you have, that shares your dream.

Great to hear from you.  It's always fun to catch up.  Sounds like you've been busy and having fun with your long-arm.  Check in when you can.
