Quilt With Us

I've been lurking, though, but it has been some time since I've posted here.  Still alive and well, busier than I should be! My younger daughter is still waiting for her divorce to go through, my older daughter and her family are dealing with the aftereffects of long-term low-level carbon monoxide poisoning this past winter, my mother has been in and out of the hospital, my sister-in-law is on on life support....well, you get the idea! I have started a long-arm business and it has been going well...making bears for the local hospice ("burden buddies"), doing some bookkeeping and taking classes to keep me updated at H&R Block...well, as I said, you get the idea!!

I have enjoyed many neat quilt shows, and as an owner of a business, some open houses at a distributor. In this area the new trend is to have one-stop shop hops, where several shops get together in one place. It sure saves gas but you don't get the opportunity to see each unique store.

In spite of all the busyness, I have still had time to sew with 3 other good friends...which serves as good therapy for all of us.

Keep stitchin'

Good friends are good medicine!!  If you can find at least one good friend you have found a treasure :)

You have a lot going on, I will remember your loved ones in my prayers.  I'm glad that you are able to sew and quilt, it feeds your soul, I'm sure.  Best of luck with the LA business!

Nice to hear from you Cathy, I hope your families problems all get straightened out soon. Nothing worse then having your kids and other family members going through tough times. Congratulation on your LA business. Once the word gets out you will be very busy. I have never advertised my alteration business but I'm busier then I ever dreamed I'd be. I live in a small town and word spreads fast around here. (good and bad) lol I'll be praying for you and your family. Hope they are all fine soon.

So glad you posted with an update.  You've had a lot on your plate with family and then to start up a LA business.  Good for you!  I'm so glad it is going well.  That has to be a bright spot of encouragement for you.

You have been busy, in good and some not so pleasant ways. I hope the family challenges will soon be dealt with and everyone on the upswing again.  Congratulations on your LAQ business!  With Christmas just around the corner I am sure you are going to be plenty busy the next few months.  I'm glad you are hanging on to that NECESSARY time with your friends.  Always good to hear from you here too.
