Obviously I don't have the typical 9 to 5, Monday thru Friday job but it does have its advantages. Tomorrow morning while everyone gets up and fights the morning rush hour to work, I will be sleeping in! So after getting up at 5 or 6 am (yes that would be sleeping in for me. Normal time to get up for work is 3:30am), I will resume working on my Mariner Compass quilt. I nearly had a set of the blocks finished and when I sat there and looked at them I wasn't happy with the way they turned out so, yes I spent all week ripping out the pieces I had just sewed together. No I am not a perfectionist but with the way the compass points went together soooo nicely I thought why get lazy with the rest of the blocks. While I was ripping out the work I had just done this week I was also messing around with my EQ7 program and made up a design to go around the compass blocks when it's finished. I also ordered some new material for my next quilt project and can't wait to get started on that one as well. The only exception to my quiet weekend of sewing is a movie date with daughter. We haven't talked much and both of us have wanted to get out and do something so after she gets off work we are off to the movies.
