Yes indeed, I am on vacation. So what am I going to get done this week? Probably not as much as I want to. The other half came home last week after he got word that his daughter had her baby girl on August 1st and has been here sence the 4th of the month. He did try to leave (he is a long haul truck driver) but the truck broke down and is now at the second shop trying to figure out why it has no power. So that limits what I can get done. I know I've mentioned before that I like to sit at the dinning table and sew. Well he has his computer on the table and I have my sewing room. It's just not the same. He did however, manage to get my longarm moved into the sewing room and it is set up and waiting for me to put it to work. I am planning on getting the border put on the last quilt that I made so that will be finished. I have started a new quilt but I've only gotten a few of the center pieces made. Amazing how everything comes to a hault when he gets home. I have been working on my quilt patterns and getting them on paper in a way that makes sense.
I had hoped that this being August and supposedly one of the warmest months we have in the northwest that I could get out and enjoy the sunshine, but looking out the window, it is cloudy and on the mild side of temperatures. I don't think we have had a day yet that came close to 80 degrees.
So with day one officially in the works, I leave you all to your morning coffee while I order some of the new material that CT has to offer.
