Ok not as life threatening as back east but 6 inches is enough to make me want to stay home.  Sense I couldn't do that, I got the other half up and filled with coffee for the morning rush to my work.  I guess morning rush would be an over statement, it was us the plows a few police cars and the only other people crazy enough to be driving around a 4am.  All things considered it wasn't that bad. Main roads had plenty of salt and deicer on them, its just the other drivers that make me nervous on days like today.

It all began yesterday when I decided to go shopping at the LQS.  I made the mistake of going to the closer one and DD called and wanted to know what I was doing.  Shopping!  DD has several ways of trying to make me feel guilty.  "Aiden needed to see his grandma", was a good one but I wasn't going for it.  I was on a mission so to speak.  I needed background material!

DD then puts Aiden on the phone, how could I resist.  She wanted to go get a coffee and take Aiden so that she could get him to sleep, he'd been up for hours.  Five hours later and a trip to the mall:

Pictures of Aiden for his 1 year birthday.  He will be 1 on March first.  Hard to believe that its been a year already.

DD is making plans for the brother or sister for him already.  She was shooting for having her second on 05/15/15.  I think she hit her head one too many times during thoughs Ice Skating lessons.

I didn't know they did salt in Washington!  We don't use salt in Oregon - it's supposed to be bad for the Aquafir (underground water table).  We use gravel and on the bridges we use de-icer.  So, our roads are harder to drive on, but our cars don't get rusty.  In my town of Beaverton, last I heard, we only had one snow plow for a population of about 100,000.  Good thing we only get snow every two or three years.

By the way, little Aiden is darling!

Kathy, He is adorable!  I remember all the complications your daughter had carrying him!  But as they say, every pregnancy is different.....maybe the next one will be smooth sailing!  We have snow here, too in Oregon.  We got a total of about 18 inches.  I'm home from work for the third day, the school district I work at is closed as are most of the other districts around!

We are enjoying Florida weather, especially clean cars! Spent a couple of hours in the sun and feel like winter didn't happen. The first nice stretch of weather up north will make a big difference in thinking! Aiden is adorable and it was a fast year!

I'm glad you didn't get allot of snow. My brother who lives in Fla. during the Winter called last week. As I was talking to him it was snowing. He asked how much we expected to get. I said they are only predicting 5-10 inches for this area.  He laughed and said 10 inches is no small amount. I think we only got the 5 in. as it wasn't much.  Aiden is adorable.  They do melt your heart.
