Quilt With Us

As I added more little hexagons to the rows I had originally planned for my quilt, I became less and less thrilled with the look.

On Monday, I decided to play with other layouts to see if I could find something I liked. I tried the Grandmother's Garden with a different colored center hexagon but it was too busy. Then I realized that if I made the entire flower out of one fabric I "modernized" the look. I am completely in love with this look! And, I can put the flowers together as I go!

Your inspiration makes me realize why I don't care for Grandmother's Flower Garden quilts---they're too busy. Your arrangement makes sense!

Can't wait to see this as it progresses. The colors are gorgeous together.
