Quilt With Us

As was mentioned in our church service this morning, it's a shame so many of us celebrate this day just for the picnics, cookouts, beer, and fireworks rather than celebrating the birth of our nation and honoring all those who have given their time, their love, and their lives to keep us as free and independent as possible. All of us here should strive to be good:

A nation under God
M oving always toward peace
E nriching the lives of others
R aising awareness
I nviting confidence
C aring for others
A nnouncing our faith
N eighbors worth having
S trong and courageous

God Bless America!

I think the celebrations do honour the work of the people in history who worked to make us what we are in Canada and the U.S.
God wants us to be happy and celebrate our family and friends!

Ruth, how true your statement is. The same goes for Canada. I love the way you explained
A M E R I C A! You have such a talent. Enjoy your weekend as we contemplate on these things. It reminds me of that verse in Philippians. "if there be any virtue, if there be any praise, think on these things."
