Quilt With Us

What a week.  I got a call early on Monday soon after writing my last post.  Our son, who lives a block away, needed me to baby sit.  He was scheduled to take her to his mother in law, but something came up there.  He had a scheduled meeting with the city manager about sewage backing up into his house.  He has been confronting this problem since he moved in 9 years ago.  The city has been trying to remedy the situation, but our son is tired of having to live in a house with concrete floors.  It costs too much to continually replace flooring.

On Tuesday, our son called again.  He had a dentist appointment and needed me again.  I was of course more than happy to come play with our granddaughter.

Since my days were so broken up, I really did not accomplish much.  On Wednesday, I had some minor legal 'stuff' to attend to, so did not get much done then either.

Thursday and Friday I was able to get some things done, but nothing crafty.

Sunday was our 40th wedding anniversary.  I got up, went to church, came home.  Expected a quiet day at home with no obligations.  Then nearby son called, granddaughter wanted Poppa and Grandma to come over.  So around the block we went.  Unknowingly I was being set up!  While we were visiting with our granddaughter, our other 3 sons were at our house setting up the dining room (buried in my sewing stuff) for my husband and I to have a romantic dinner together.  (We do not like going out).  2 of the boys drove in from out of town to do this for us.  I was blown away.  Our boys are so thoughtful.

I believe that the pictures in the long frame was taken Sunday morning.  How that got it framed and over here is a mystery to me.

Monday and Tuesday I spent recovering and catching up on shopping.
