It was just a little overboard... Ok Joann Fabrics was having a sale and a 50% off coupon- how could I refuse the offer. It was payday after all and I did pay all my bills before I even went to work this morning. I did forget to gas up the car to get to work for the next week but I remembered before I left work so I figure I'll have to work next week too. I couldn't remember what was on sale but I look around and found the cozy flannel on sale for $2.00 a yard. The temptation was too much. I stood there contemplating colors. I grabbed the fullest bolt of white I could find. Normally it use to come packaged but wasn't, so I asked the girls at the cutting table if they had to count the yardage and she said yes and asked me how much I wanted. The whole thing. :))) Then they started with the questions. Yes I do use flannel on my quilt backs. I don't know about everyone else but it does make for a nice warm quilt during the winter time around here. I once made one with cotton backing and my daughter refused to take the quilt, her cousin was more than happy to get it. So anything that I make for a bed quilt gets the flannel. I hadn't even made it to the car and my BF was on the phone wanting to know if I was working over time??? I said no and started pleading the 5 amendment as to my whereabouts. He laughed and said that I had to come home sometime. I confessed. It wasn't until I was home with dinner in hand and we talked about this that and the other thing that he said he would have paid for the material. I offered to go get more and he gave me his bank card. So I now have enough flannel to make 5 quilts with. :))))) If no one hears from me by September, you might want to call and check up on me.
