Haven't posted for a couple weeks. Not much going on; just waiting for snow so we can ride snowmobiles. About 4 inches came down today but still not enough to ride so that sleds don't get damage. And, weather is turning cold with highs in minus single digits. We have been spoiled with above normal temps.
Have been doing some serious cleaning. First my sewing room and then my DH Packer room. Found some "treasures" and trash. Made a list of UFOs to complete (half dozen) and list of projects to make (about 20) with fabrics I already have. Then I tackled my craft room in the basement; found lots of "treasures" and a lot more trash. You know, the stuff you're going to "make some day" and "some day" never comes. It's just time to thin out the trash.
Here's a couple photos.
First is 2 pillowcases I intended for Sandy Hook until I heard they don't want anymore of everything; USA has been so generous. Will find a charity to give them to. Purchased fabrics at WalMart.
Next is pic of my DGS basketball team (6th grade). He is the short little guy in the right front row; he may be short but he has a lot of speed and spunk. Coach says he is the best defensive player on the team. They won 2nd place in the tourney that day; a neck and neck score for the whole game. You ought to see him play football; just as fast as on the basketball court!
This is my DGD watching the game that day. She plays volleyball but just started practice so no games yet.
Can you tell I am a proud Nana? And so is Papa.
That's enough Nana stuff. Good night.

As for the pillow cases, All People's Quilt 1 million pillow case challenge is still on - you may want to check that and donate your pillow cases to a worth cause.
Comment by Barb/WI on January 19, 2013 at 9:41am You should be a proud Nana! Those grandkids are lucky to have such loving grandparents. The pillowcases are great! I, too, have been in the process of cleaning, sorting, and purging. Must be that time of year. Hunker down with those bitter cold temps coming!
I'm envious the fact you got cleaning done! cleaning up my sewing area has been one of my winter goals yet to be accomplished. It is fun when you find those lost treasures. Cute family you have, you should show them off as a proud Nana
