Quilt With Us

I thought I would try and send a note out to let you know I fell and broke the Radius bone in my right hand.

As a result of this, I'm half way through the moving process.  In a mess at both places.  I'm suppose to be all healed in six weeks (Sept. 15th).  Can't wait for that time to arrive. Home health is coming in and helping me with Bud,  I'm so bored, not being able to do much.  I have  mastered, making and  changing the bedding. Folding laundry, and doing dishes with my left hand.  And also writing.  I can't drive.  TV dinners and meals

brought in by family and friends are keeping us eating.  I cant chop or peel but I can run the microwave. LOL

I hope all is well with all you people.  I can't wait to get back to my sewing machines and finish making the curtains for the apartment.  ~ Irene

Oh, Irene! Here's hoping and praying for a quick(er!) recovery for you! When my right-handed future DIL broke her right wrist, she was determined to write with her left hand. Whenever she visited us, she'd make lists of things for the wedding using her left hand. My two lefty sons would add silly things to her lists, using their right hands! (She married the older one of them anyway! lol)

Oh Irene, please no cutting or chopping with your non dominate hand!  Lol  What a pain in the &%# this must be.  Wishing you a speedy (and safe!) recovery!

Oh my Irene.  What a bummer.  When I had carpal tunnel surgery on my right hand I had to learn how to do more with my left.  I was shocked to find out how difficult it was to do even simple things like brushing my teeth.  You are going to need a good vacation once this is all behind you!  Sending positive thoughts your way.

Good heavens! I'm so sorry your hand is injured! Hang in there. I am glad you have friends and family fixing meals for you. Take care of yourself and let the bone heal properly. We are all cheering for you!

You have my sympathy, Irene. I also had to learn to do everything with my left hand, haven't mastered much but I get by. I'm glad yours is healing and you will be able to use it again. Blessings to you and Bud.
