Have been busy with projects but not completed to take photos to post; will do so when done.
Am working on gift for exchange for our quilt group Christmas party; found idea online. Am making "coasters" using 4 inch white ceramic tiles. Found pics of vintage Santas online. Printed them and used ModPodge to adhere them to the tiles. Will put thin cork board on backs. Even my DH tho't they looked pretty spiffy; he suggested I make some for home.
For each quilter who comes to party am making key chain lip balm holders out of fabric with key chain ring to attach to car key ring so that lip balm is readily available when needed instead of being lost in the bottom of purse. Also found this idea online. It's easy and inexpensive.
Made a fourth quilt top for church, a queen size that looks like a Christmas quilt (didn't intend that). Dropped that one and other 3 off at the church today thinking their fall bazaar was today. Wrong! It was last week; food shelf was going on today. Oh, well.
Went to basket class again. Made a wine basket that holds 2 bottles of wine. Will give to DD for Christmas with the bottles of wine, too.
Will post photos when done with all of above.
Went to quilt camp for 5 days/4 nights end of Oct. Had a great time and sewed a lot but no completed projects to show. Made the blocks for Crabapple Hill "Winter Wonderland" pattern; that took 2 days. Now need to put quilt blocks and embroidered blocks together. Next 2 days sewed Snowball blocks from fabric I had for a long time; finished the blocks but now need to put them together.
Thanksgiving will be at our house; will be 10 of us. Must get the bird; haven't seen any good sales on turkeys yet. Haven't made a list of rest of menu yet; everyone pitches in with a dish or 2.
Well, that's my chat for the day. Have a blessed Thanksgiving with family and friends.
