Quilt With Us

Thank you ladies for my birthday wishes, I had a very nice birthday with my DH...I haven't been online for a while...My youngest was graduating from high school, and I had some minor surgery to remove some knots on my arm and such...but all the news was good, still recovering a bit with some tenderness in the muscle but everything was fine...right after graduation, we had a vac. shutdown time at my hubby's work so everything conspired against computer time.....but things are startiing to get back to normal, my DS has a job, his first, and college enrollment is completed and I was sad to see the last of it and elated at the same time....now I can get back to the fun stuff,....I made a set of pillowcases for a friend who was getting married and finished an afghan for another one....working on a couple of quilts that are in desperate need of finishing , and hope to get to chat with everyone agaiin now that things are a little more normal.....Have a blessed day ladies and be happy.

Yep, did the highschool grad thing myself this year. Sure is a busy time. Enough to contend with without the other stuff. Glad you are on the road to recovery, hope the surgery didn't interfer with your sewing.

Congrats on becoming an empty nester! I can say that with a smile, I found it very difficult to send our only off to college. We didn't just miss him, but half the town that hung here! In time it does start to have it's perk! Nice to have you back!

Sounds like you have been one busy lady. Glad you are recovering well! Such a bittersweet time watching them grow into adulthood. Time goes so fast.

Sounds like we're at the same stage in our lives. My youngest just graduated as well. Where did the time go? Like you, I have mixed emotions - sad to see him go, glad to be done with the school drama, and still excited for what lies next for him. Glad you are back and hope you are able to enjoy some quilting time.
