Quilt With Us

Just when I thought I had a grip on life....

Seems like my life is always throwing me curves.  I finally got my broken arrow quilt top finished with the extra borders. Sorry I don't have a picture of it as it is now packed and going into storage.  Almost a year ago My other half injured his back at work.  He would work, couldn't work for a few months and L and I of course paid wouldn't pay for his time off.  He's been off work now sense April and we are going through the getting paid not getting paid by L and I.  So this has forced us to sell our house just as I was getting back into working on quilts again.  I have no idea where we are going as everything we have looked at is more expensive that what we have in our house.   Thankfully my DD has agreed to let me move some of my quilting fabric to her house along with one of my sewing machines. I am trying to sell my Tin Lizzie long arm, so if anyone in the Tacoma Washington area is looking for a longarm, send me a message.  I have been looking at getting the Handiquilter sweet 16 sit down machine as I know that I won't have room for the regular longarm.  If any one has this machine or knows someone who does I'd like to know what they think of the longarm.

The only thing in life that keeps me sane and DD insane are these to guys. Aiden is 5 already and starting kindergarten in the fall and Lucas will be 3 in October

Hi Kathy, I see you are trying to develop patterns. Do you teach? I'm adding info about the Everett Quilt Show if you would like to apply. It's not an immediate help, but maybe it will be good in the long run.

Hello future EQS Instructor!

Your name has been recommended to us as an instructor of quilting/fiber arts. We are recruiting for The Everett Quilt Show (EQS) April 26-27, 2019 & April 24-25, 2020 and hope that you will apply. The theme for the show is "It's Raining Quilts!" and we think this will be an exciting year with a challenge to make a quilt for  the theme. Please check out our website (link below) for information about the show.
One of our goals is to provide new educational opportunities. This means we are searching for new techniques, old techniques with a new twist, fun projects and much more. Classes with quilt related projects or techniques are preferred, though other relevant craft project suggestions are also welcome. If you have more than one class to offer, you will need to fill out a form for each class.
Along with teaching classes, we are looking for demonstrations and make & take projects. Please consider these opportunities as well.
Classes may begin as early as 9:00 am and must end by 4:30. We will offer classes as short as 2 hours or as long as six. Lunch time will be added to 5 hour or longer classes. We will do the best we can to schedule by your preference, but may be limited by classroom space, etc.
Deadline to apply for 2019 is September 15, 2018.
Education committee will make selections by September 30, 2018 and notifications will be sent by October 5, 2018.
If you are interested in applying for 2020, please indicate in the appropriate space in the form.
Please forward this to any instructors/demonstrators that you think might be interested in this opportunity as well.
Thank you for considering EQS.
