Quilt With Us

Here's an update and a photo of 2 of the aprons I made being used by my Godson's on Christmas eve while we made cookies.  Thank you for all your guidance these have been a big hit at the RMH as well however, not too sure about posting photos of those kids would be allowed or welcome.

I know without a doubt that someone out here will know the answer to my question.

How long and wide should I make the average kids apron? I've googled and googled and no where can I find the length. I'm thinking to start with a fat quarter but that only gives me about a drop of 20". I volunteer at our local Ronald McDonald house and they need/asked if I could make a few for the kids and I love the idea just need help on sizes for 4-6 year olds. Please help.

There's plenty of apron patterns available at McCall's, Simplicity or Butterick. I buy them at JoAnn's when they're on sale.  I'll gladly get you a few when I get to JoAnn's.

I am no help with the apron sizes, but I do have to say thank you for sharing those pictures.  What adorable kids in their cook's helper aprons.  What a good cause your aprons will be going for.

Sheila....try using a tea towel as a guide.  There is a pattern (google it) on the internet somewhere...it may have been on "you tube"...for one made from just a tea towel and the length was perfect for a little one.

Sheila, the kids are absolutely adorable.  I love the pic of them looking at the cookies as they are baking.

Wow - what ADORABLE kids.  I'm not sure how you survive that much cuteness.  The aprons turned out great and they look like great helpers.  My kids always liked aprons when they were little.  I was never an apron wearer until just recently, but my grandmothers never went without when they were working around the house.  I like the renewed interest in them.

Great aprons and adorable boys!  They love to help as much a little girls do.  The picture of them looking in the oven is precious!

The aprons are really cute.  But those boys are adorable. The way they are watching the cookies bake is priceless.

An absolute okay to post the pics of the boys.  And BTW  I love the kitchen with all the counter tops, although we just finished the floors in our house, nothing was done to update the cabinets and I do so want to have more workspace in my kitchen.
