Quilt With Us

This is the most recent "stash reduction" project. It might take me awhile if I only use them up in baby quilts.  Individually, the fabrics are cute and go well together, but overall, this one isn't my favorite - not sure why.  Hopefully someone will love it.  It is 42" x 42".  Machine quilted (poorly, but we do what we can). It is backed with pink flannel.

The pink and green "X" blocks were made several years ago for another baby quilt, but they didn't quite look right in that project, so I set them aside.  The deer fabric was gifted to me - just scraps left over from a sewing project.  The pink and green fabrics were my great aunt's.  (So I'm not only using up my stash, but other folks' as well...)

The quilting corner is cleaned up and organized once again.  That won't last long, but it is ready for the next project.  There are more baby quilts to make, but I may practice my machine quilting on a couple of tops that have been in storage waiting to be finished.

Happy quilting!

Thanks, Cat Lady.  Pastels are hard for me to work with, and of course, the machine quilting is a struggle for me.

Irene - My scrap yardage (or lack thereof) didn't allow for a border on this one, but I think you are probably right.  It might look better with a border.

Janet - You are so right!  It will be washed and used and loved - I hope.

Peggy - Hope the pups are okay.  I've had the yellow print for many years.  Apparently I don't use much yellow in my quilts! :)  I think it would be cute paired with blue.  I don't have much of it left.

I saw this on my phone last night at the veterinary emergency room. It's a pretty quilt and an interesting take on the snowball block. I had that yellow fabric with the butterflies. I can't remember what I used it in, I do so many scrap quilts; maybe more than one. I admire your ability to machine quilt. It isn't one of my gifts, except for doll quilts, which are much smaller.

It is lovely.  The baby who is lucky enough to sleep under it won't care if the quilting is not perfect.

P.Q I like the quilt, it's sweet. But I think a border would finish it off.

I think is looks lovely, PQ, so very soft and baby-ish.

The flowers you quilted in the deer blocks look great.
