Quilt With Us

All righty now, last & final sequel until this puppy is done & over with , you know, 10 years from now? I have the border just tossed there, it is not joined. I also will have a few circles & leaves to add at each end once it is joined. I saw no reason to be doing work I would have to frog so I left the ends a teeny bit shy of done.

I really don't get compensation from CT for touting their fabric ( :) just so you know!) but may I say that this has ALL been made with CT Fabric with the exception of the background & for 2 pieces used in blocks. I really love their fabric in piecing & applique. I am a VERY happy customer!

2009 is slowly grinding to a close & forever becomes written in history. Personally for my family (& for many of you) 2009 has been a very difficult year. I have found such supportive friends here that I can't say it has all been bad. I wish for you that 2010 be a healthy, peaceful year of joy & happiness. Bless you all! ♥

Edited: In the event you all think I have lost it totally (well, thank you for not telling me I have cause I already know that fact! tee hee) I actually DO remember showing you this pattern in parts & pieces a month or so ago. I had not forgotten that, believe it or not. :)

This is a pattern by Kim Diehl, "Passing Fancy" in the book "Simple Traditions". I apologize to Ms Diehl ( and certainly to you!) for not giving her credit for her design. I re-drafted the blocks to a larger size & it took me DAYS to figure out the size so I would have E-nuff background fabric. The rust is hard to remove from the one brain cell left. (sniff cry whine)

Thanks so much for your comments! (((HUGS))) ♥

Riley, I LOVE the quilt! It's so traditional-looking, which is what I like. At the same time it is so colorful. I really like it a lot.

What a beautiful quilt you have made. I, too have done a lot of applique work, mostly needle turn, and I very much enjoyed doing this fine type work. I find that my old tired eyes do no longer like this kind of work, much to my dismay. So now do the machine applique instead. Happy New year and the best of health in the coming year. Joleen

What a gorgeous quilt! And what a great accomplishment! I have Kim Diehl's book and am making a quilt from it myself! A 2010 year long project!

Oh Miz' Riley, I simply adore that quilt!! I would love to see that thing close up and be able to touch and smell that fabric. I also simply love CT's fabrics. They are a joy to work with. You have been the best light in 2009~~ I can't wait to try my hand at appliqueing and I want to make a "Sunbonnet Sue" quilt also.
May your "New Year" be all that you want and need.................
