Quilt With Us

My new toy arrived today!  Note to self and everyone else that orders on Amazon and tracks package with antisapation, Just because it took three days to leave the state the machine was made in, doesn't mean ups won't get it there when they say they will.  Box arrived as usual when I wasn't home.  I like the UPS guy. He was brave and put the box on the porch at the front door, and my herd of dogs barking away at him.  He then moved trash can infront of box so those on the street wouldn't see the "brother" markings on the outside of the box and steal said new toy.  It took me a few minutes of reading the instructions to figure out how to thread machine and discovered it had a full bobbin in it already. Adjusted the tension just a bit and it sews!  I'm impressed with the foot pedal. variable speeds! More or less, depending on the amount of pressure you put to the pedal. For me that is a bonus sense I'm sure it will take a while to coordinate the hands to following the lines for quilting.

The picture doesn't show it but I now have a  4X6 foot table to work on.  This should get me out of the funk I've been in for the past few months and help get some of these projects finished. Hummm..... what to do first?

So exciting, to have a new machine!  Those UPS guys are usually great.

I've had that machine for almost 9 years now. It is a workhorse!  I love the easy adjustment of both upper and lower tension on it. Have fun with it!

Ooooo Kathy. I can hear your new machine humming away clear up here in my corner of the state! (lol) Enjoy your new toy. I'm sure you'll be logging lots of hours and putting miles and miles of thread through it!  Does she have a name yet?
