I love New Year. Just the promise of a fresh start is uplifting. I always believe life will get better and it usually does. My primary resolution for 2014 is to get my fabric stash organized. We are setting up IKEA shelving units in what I have dubbed my fabric room. It's just the back bedroom that could have been a guest room, but no, too much fabric in the house! My goal for 2013 was to get more involved with my guild and in September I was elected VP Membership for the Coastal Prairie Quilt Guild of Texas. This is my first experience in belonging to a guild and I am loving it. We have 165 members to-date, but don't know enough to say if this is average size for a guild or not. We are in the Houston area and the population here is very high, so that means that there are several quilt guilds situated close to each other.
Happy New Year to all! Wishing you success in all that you plan for 2014. Make a plan, have a goal, reach out to others, make a charity quilt, just do something that you can pat yourself on the back for and remember to smile.
