Comment by Amanda Best on February 9, 2013 at 3:05pm What a great top for dear Lucinda! It is so darling and original! The camel block is superb! The spider block is kind of freaky, though! For me anyway. I can't wait to see how you finish it!
Comment by Donna Sykes on February 9, 2013 at 8:51am This quilt is adorable and will be one of a kind. I agree with the others for a finishing suggestion. Be sure to post the finished product.
Comment by B J Elder/WA on February 9, 2013 at 7:48am Janet's idea is exactly what I thought too. Lucy is going to love this!
Comment by Pam/NY on February 9, 2013 at 7:21am Just adorable...I agree with the others ...I would bind it in red!
Comment by Mary, Tewksbury MA on February 9, 2013 at 4:27am Too cute, she'll love it. I agree with others, narrow border in sashing color then outer border.
Comment by Cindy on February 9, 2013 at 12:13am Sandy, I agree with Janet on the borders. I have seen some really cute fabrics available. That's part of the problem, too many to choose from. Lucy will enjoy it for years to come. What a treasure.
Comment by Sandy B /AUS on February 8, 2013 at 7:30pm Thank you for your idea Janet. It is on the floor as we mull over where to go - firstly I have to embroider the initials of the girls who made each block - some have initials already.
It is really cute. Do you have any more of the red sashing fabric? If so I would suggest using it to make a narrow inner border and then add an outer border of a fabric that has animals on it.
