Thank you for you great comments but I have gone for a narrow blue border at this stage - more shopping to do now.

What a great top for dear Lucinda! It is so darling and original! The camel block is superb! The spider block is kind of freaky, though! For me anyway. I can't wait to see how you finish it!

This quilt is adorable and will be one of a kind. I agree with the others for a finishing suggestion. Be sure to post the finished product.

Janet's idea is exactly what I thought too. Lucy is going to love this!

Just adorable...I agree with the others ...I would bind it in red!

Too cute, she'll love it.  I agree with others, narrow border in sashing color then outer border.

Sandy, I agree with Janet on the borders. I have seen some really cute fabrics available. That's part of the problem, too many to choose from. Lucy will enjoy it for years to come. What a treasure.

Thank you for your idea Janet. It is on the floor as we mull over where to go - firstly I have to embroider the initials of the girls who made each block - some have initials already.

It is really cute.  Do you have any more of the red sashing fabric?  If so I would suggest using it to make a narrow inner border and then add an outer border of a fabric that has animals on it.
