Quilt With Us

Katie

Market Tags, available for download now!

A few weeks ago Karen emailed me and told me that some of you Quilt With Us members had been pestering her politely asking her for some customizable, downloadable tags to wear to Quilt Market, shop hops and guild meetings. You all demanded gently suggested that they say "Quilt With Us" on them so you would easily be able to identify other crazed passionate quilters.

Since I do the web graphics for Connecting Threads I gladly set out to work on them. The quilters here said they tags should come in two sizes - a large one that can fit nicely on a tote, and a smaller one that can fit in those plastic name tag holders quiltaholics attendees wear at quilt shows.

Here I am modeling my own personalized tag (I cheated, though, since I just printed mine out on paper and wrote my name on it)

And here is a close up version, so you can see how perfectly it fits!

To download your own Market Tags, click HERE. And if you're heading to Houston in the next few days, be sure to post photos of you and all your crazy Quilt With Us buddies wearing your tags!

Happy quilting, and good luck meeting other fabric addicts quilters!

Thank you for making up the tags for us! Who knows whether some of the others that we see in our LQS or guild meetings is on here that we've not discovered yet?? What fun it could turn out to be....

If the tag prints out too large, try this. Download the small tag, click on file, print preview. On the top toolbar select "shrink to fit". I used 30% and it printed out a good size for using as a tag. Hope this helps. Rebecca

OK, I must be doing something wrong. I immediately slipped some card stock in my printer to print a small tag for my badge for the AQS show in Des Moines and it printed the full size of the paper. How do I get it to print out the small size it says it is???

Thanks, Katie!
I sure could have used the tag last weekend when I went to TWO shows ,one in St. Catherines and one in Guelph (Ontario, Canada)! I did recognize and meet one quilter from QWU by the quilt she had hanging, but at the other, I missed connecting with a fellow quilter who was even demonstrating machine quilting as I passed! I even added my 2 cents' worth to people with questions and here we could have been meeting and going on the Hearts and Faces Connect part of this site!!!! And I was sure I had recognized one of her quilts from here too!
Never again with your tag!!

Thanks a million Katie, you deserve 1 million hugs. We are all so excited but I am like BJ not heading to a show but sure don't want to be left out. Take care, Katie and again we thank you.

I have a jacket with all kinds of quilting charms and pins and buttons that I save for fabric shopping and quilt shows. The badge will be perfect! Thanks so much. The Chenango County Piecemakers annual quilt show is coming up this weekend at the school auditorium in Oxford NY. Cannot wait to show it off then. Joyce
