What a wonderful Spirit Led week.
I was kept busy with little projects and scheduling time. I made a couple of gift bags for a couple of boys' presents. Their party was Saturday though their birthdays were earlier in the month. The boys are brothers and are about 2 years apart, 7 and 9, now. These are the son's of the young lady (Rachel) that our oldest is seeing. The one I taught how to quilt. In fact, I slid her into my schedule this past week to mend a couple of spots on the quilt. The binding was pulling away from the backing. The backing seemed to be more loosely woven. In fact, I put some heavy duty iron on interfacing on the inside of the 'weaken' area and we hand stitched the binding back on. Fairly easy fix.
Then I also made a pillowcase dress for our GD that will be 3 on Sunday.
I will be making a hooded bath towel for her also. Then I have an outfit that I am debating on doing some cut work on the top. It is a knit, so I am a little nervous on that. I may put a piece of cotton on the back (instead of WSS) so that the knit does not stretch.
It has rained about every other day this week. Our yard is squishy. In fact, it rained most of yesterday and all night last night. We are wet! This summer our lakes will not drain as fast. Hopefully no burn bans or water rations.
Hummingbirds showed up yesterday. Now I need to get my feeders out. An item on today's to-do list.
These are Daniel's parents.
April and May are so busy with birthdays and anniversaries. So are July, August, December, January and February.
I better get going and get those hummingbirds fed.
May you have a Spirit Led week.
