Me- two little old ladies and a very long grocery line

Here is a story that I couldn't wait to tell.

There I was standing in a very long line wondering why it was that I alway's choose the wrong line...

The answer came to me in a very funny way. Standing in front of me was two little old ladies just gabbing away about kids these day's. They just couldn't believe that Debbie almost blew up their moving home by lighting a match...What kids do these day's.. What about poor Vicky and her husband and what their daughter did to them...I tell you Sis...I just don't know about these kids.

Well at this point they had my full attention, I figured out that they were talking about us here on CT....So I casually asked them if they were talking about Connecting Threads.....Yes we think so they say in unison.
They went on to explain that they have a granddaughter who comes to visit them and she found this wonderful site for them.

They then went on to say that they were so proud of Karen for setting everyone straight on what is ok to talk about on here. They wanted me to tell you Karen that they really like you and they hope your husband is healing.

Needless to say I had the best time talking to my new 83 year young friends...who just so happen to be twins and they sew but they love to hear how everyone one is doing.

I did mention to them that they could have their granddaughter send a post for them...but they said that they just enjoy reading. I asked them if it would be ok if I told our story and they got the biggest kick out of it. I am so happy that I got to meet them. They both were very funny "young" ladies and I'm glad that I picked the wrong line.

I hope that you all enjoyed this story as much as I enjoyed meeting them. Funny how thing's happen some times. I could go on and on about more of what they said but I would be here for a long time.

Until we meet again ladies -- Thanks for a great laugh and may god bless you both

I read somewhere that the experiences that we view as unplanned and interruptions, are really God's way of getting our attention and of using us! Thanks for sharing!

What a wonderful story! It's amazing the friends you can make in a grocery store line. And the world certainly can be a small place sometimes. Thanks for sharing!

Definitely is a small world. And yet it sometimes takes modern technology for us to discover who our next door neighbor is.

This is so awesome. I love it when things happen like this. If we leave our homes and go out into the world letting God lead He can take us to the best places and we can experience things like this all the time. I meet some of the neatest people in grocery lines or a waitress or waiter, they are everywhere. This story had the greatest twist though because it was about the Connecting Threads family. What an awesome follow-up to Karens Blog last week. We truly are a family!! Thanks so much for sharing. I bet those ladies were just precious!!!
