In the quilt world, without a stash we would not have our paints. The problem comes when we have no place to store the stash in order to find what we need for the quilt. Having tubs full of bits and pieces also can become hoarding overload. It has helped me to pass up three sales from CT. I just keep telling myself when the last purchase gets used, then I can buy more. My husband said it will never happen. I did once in my quilting life go for over a year without buying any type of sewing supplies. I had quit my job and my husband lost his job the next month. No real income to meet all the bills.
