Quilt With Us

I hope everyone  is having a very merry Christmas.  Normally I would have been on here early this morning before going to work but for some reason I just never got here.  Yes I do work on holidays.  I get paid too much not to work!  It has been an interesting few months around here.  We are still trying to get our house fixed up and ready to sell.  This has been an extremely slow process for us so we have decided to hold out till spring and sell the house.  Most of the major work has been finished and now we are working on the details of making the house look good.  I told my other half that if we were going to be here till spring time that I would need something else to do.  I came home from work the other day and he had set up my new HQ sweet 16 quilting machine in one of the rooms along with my cutting table and sewing machine and my embroidery machine.  He knows me too well.  I haven't the heart to tell him that all the quilts that need quilting are in the storage we rented when we moved 90% of our stuff out of the house so we would have room to work.  I guess I am just going to have to start a new quilt.  (smiling here)  I do have a quilt that I have been working on for my grandson Aiden.  This of course lead me to a new Idea for a quilt for grandson Lucas as well.  I am hoping that I have enough time to get them finished.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Wow, your other half is a sweetheart!  Love my hubby to death, but he would have no idea where to begin setting up a functional space for my machines.

Good to hear from you...getting a house ready to market is a process. These gals now days walk into a $100,000 house and expect it to look like a $400,000. Your sweetie had great intentions! Gotta love the effort!I am taking Christmas stuff down...looking forward to getting out of here in a few weeks.

Happy New Year, Getting a house ready to sell is quite tiring. I did that a few years back. It didn't sell so I have a tenant renting it. She wants to buy it, but I don't know what decade she is waiting for. In the meantime she is paying me rent. I'm picking away at giving my  grand kids and their kids all a quilt but I probably won't live long enough to accomplish the task.
