Quilt With Us

The candles have been blown out, the cake has all been eaten and everything is quiet again. DH turned 65 today and we had a family party for him. When we reach these milestones in our lives it is interesting to look back and see how we have evolved since the last one. When DH had turned 60 I had given him a scrapbook I compiled of his life, we had fun looking over it again, but I realized that in 5 short years I had accumulated enough material to do another one. It is like quilting, not enough time to complete all that I would like to. My scrapbooking paraphernalia almost outpaces my quilting room.

I love having my family around but being a large one we are rather noisy, lucky there were no little ones today as they were all at a cousin's 2nd birthday. Love having them but some days all of them together can be overwhelming. That was my last big commitment until June, so now I can turn my efforts to getting some quilting done, I am very close to getting my granddaughter Ava's "big girl" quilt done.

Well time for some rest, tomorrow I will go in search of my "Mojo" again.

Remember God loves ya and so do I.

What a great memory you will always have and cherish over the years.  I tried scrapbooking once but found it took up too much of my sewing room..lol   Glad you had a nice day with family....loud and noisy is a good thing.  Now,  go  find that mojo.....

What a wonderful gift for your DH and another one for then next "step" sounds great also! I have done scrapbooks for both my parents, my sister and both brothers. Only one of my brothers saw his before he passed, but the others are my memories of my "first" family, I love goes back through them!

What a nice day with family.  It is always good to reminisce, look back over the years and count the blessings.  Hope you find fulfillment in this new phase of your life.

Glad you had a wonderful birthday celebration with your husband.  Now enjoy some time for you again.  It will be fun for you to focus on Ava's quilt, and your hubby just might be ready to enjoy some quiet time as well.  Happy belated greetings to him.
