Quilt With Us

"Miss Lefevre, do you like chocolate?"

That was a question I heard Friday. (Obviously, she doesn't know quilters very well, LOL!) I looked at her and she started laughing, saying, "Or was that a rhetorical question?" Then she asked if I liked cherries. Hmm, this was sounding curious to me. Then, what about Russian tea cakes...very curious indeed. (Love those Russian tea cakes!)

So then she finally decided to give me a cookie that her Mom had made. It's hard to describe, but I'll try. Imagine a Hershey's Cherry Cordial Kiss, surrounded by a layer of Russian tea cake cookie, and then dipped in chocolate and drizzled with colored chocolate. IT was a melt-in-my-mouth experience! I asked her to get the recipe, but her Mom is sort of stingy with those recipes, I guess. That cookie ended up being my lunch. I mean, what could I eat after that? My chicken noodle soup just didn't sound appealing at all after that morsel!!!!! (Hmmm, I wonder if the calorie count was equal?)

So, if anyone out in QWU-land knows this recipe, I would love to get it. :-D

Maybe you could bribe her? And then you could pass the recipe on to me. ;0)
