Quilt With Us

I spent a good part of this afternoon getting some pictures taken of some of the projects I have finished this year.

This is a picture of one of my favorites.  I call it "Modern Pennsylvania Dutch" because of the color palette I chose.

It is from a pattern called "Painted Hearts" designed by Cindy Mccoy and can be found in The Quilt Pattern Magazine.

I knew when I was making it that I wanted to quilt feathered hearts in the negative space because the elements of the feathers are a repeat of the appliquéd pieces.

I also like my table runners to be flat so there is a lot of loops and hearts as the filler.

I used Golden Threads tissue paper to assist in quilting the hearts as well as the corner sprays.
