Quilt With Us

This is what I see out my office window. They are predicting snow for the next 7 days. I really would like to see some sunshine. As you can see my office is at 8100 ft elevation.to see some sunshine if I can't be quilting.

Yeah, I'm ready for spring.  We had snow here on Friday, but it was short-lived.  Pretty pictures and great view!

It.s a molybdenum mineral mine. It is used as a metal hardner, put in oils alson when it is roasted it is used in vitamins, slim fast ect. ect. ect. Only the weekends are slow. People are in hear all the time. On weekends and night shift I get to do lots of applique and sewing on my bindings. Pretty good job. We do 12 hour shifts for 7 days. Have 7 days off and than work 7 night shifts and than 7 days off again. DH and I work the same runs so it works out great for us. By the way I am at work right now :0)Have a great week end.

Hi Lori, what a good job you must have I mean the views and all , do you get lonely up there and do you get to sew by hand on your breaks or is that not possible. may I ask what type of mine do you work for if you can not answer I understand. It sounds like a large company .

May I ask you to be a friend ?         have a good day up there LOL

Hi Norma, I work for a mine. I work in the security shack and am an EMT for the mine. We have our own ambulance service since we are so far from town. Once people check in with me they can go to the mill around the corner or another mile around the mountain to where the pit is. I have control over a gate at the bottom of the mountain that is 4 and a half miles from me. It is a neat place to work. They take very good care of us. We have over 400 people and are still growing. Thanks for asking. Lori

What lovely views you have where you are . I hope the snow does stop soon as it seems like we have had a long winter.

May i ask why is your office at that elevation, and what do you do up there???????

 i'm just inquisitive.

I'm so envious.  I hate Kansas summers!

Come July it will probably still look the same. Last year for 4th of July we had a total white out up here. It did warm up afterwards. I will post pictures again when the sun is shining and everything is green.

What a beautiful view!  I'll be dreaming about that view come July.

The view is beautiful, but it's holding back spring.  We have spring weather here in NH, kind of windy and supposed to get some rain the next few days.  Like the old folks say, if you don't like the weather, move out of the country. I hope the warm weather gets to you soon.
