My dear husband of 40 years of marriage today, decides he wants a Lone Star quilt. Make it to look like feathers. He keeps showing me pictures then says, " but more feather like and Native American colors." "Brown and orange," I reply? No and only solid fabric, after I showed him the fabric I like from CT. In fact I made a blue one, but that is not the right colors. I gave him a grid and told him to color it. He just looked back at me. That happen a few weeks ago. We went on vacation and during that time Mother day sale comes up and he is looking at kits. I found the one I like, he said. It did look pretty. Well that kit came last week. "Batiks" as busy 48 strips none alike mess by Prismatic Star, Hoffman fabric all the fabric hand selected by Judy Niemeyer. I was ready to send the entire mess back, but you have to open the package to see. What happen to solid? I am not sure I will ever make this mess again. Too add to the week my husband keeps looking at Lone Stars and finds books on the subject. Guess what, he has ordered one. I only have three what is one more, only he still want that feather lone star. I give him the grid again last night and tell him to color. He is having three medical issues to go along with this quilting fun, I am having severe double vision and our severe Autism daughter (33) cut her hair off, it is now 1". Looks cute, did not know she could cut, but she also stuck the scissors into her face, right below her right eye. Life can be fun.
