Quilt With Us

I can't resist posting this!  For the last three years there has hardly been any snow at the mountain house.  This was taken about two weeks ago in a break in the storms; the snow is more than twice as deep now!  We slog in on snowshoes to check windows, water pipes, propane tank, and electricity.  To stay, we would have to dig out the water valves and turn them on, then carefully drain the pipes again so they don't freeze when we leave.  If we can't stay for awhile, it isn't worth it!

What a beautiful place! I'm sure it feels good to get snow and yet you must be sorry not to be able to stay there for a while.

Your mountain home is beautiful.  Fresh snow make it picture perfect.

What a beautiful place, Carol. Reminds me of where we lived for 25 years. So thankful we're getting snow in the mountains this winter.

Lovely setting! I don't mind snow, as long as I don't have to drive in it.

We haven't had much snow this winter, but we have had some bitterly cold temps.  Glad your area is getting some moisture - even if it is in the form of the white stuff.  :)  Great picture!  Beautiful setting.

On the one hand, I'm sure that considering the drought that California has been enduring over the past few years, this snowfall is very welcome! On the other hand, as someone who lives year round in a snow belt, I'm not particularly enthusiastic about snow LOL. But what a beautiful place you have there. Simply gorgeous.

We get to spend every winter night at our place. It's mostly fun, unless the power goes out or a pipe breaks.

Gorgeous!!!! We always want to spend a night in the winter at our place, but too much hassle!
