Quilt With Us

A lovely lovely weekend so far! DD is home from school and spent Friday night and most of Saturday with me. But my girl is a social animal, much like her mom, so she's off with friends that she hasn't seen since school started. I probably won't see her for days.

The weather here in the NW is finally beautiful! This morning I had my coffee outside in the backyard, and just now finished Barbara Graham's book, Murder by Artifact.....such a great quilty murder mystery! I highly recommend it. But alas, now I've put it off long enough. Time to work on that $%$%^$ twin quilt....still due Friday!!!!

I took your recommendation for "The Lover's Knot" and downloaded it onto my Kindle that the kids and husband gave me for Mother's Day and finished the book while on vacation in Jamaica and had to get "The Drunkard's Path", I downloaded it right then--loving the Kindle!! I did mention to the publisher that I would like to read this on the Kindle--so we shall see but have wish list both of her books!!
Deadlines they alway seem to come up way to fast, and we always think we have more time to get the project done!!! Good luck with the quilt..

There is something satisfying about reading and finishing a book you truly enjoy.

Deadlines - ugh. Sometimes they are the only things that get us motivated to finish up a project though. Good luck with yours. Looking forward to seeing the pictures.

Sounds like a great way to start your weekend project.

Looking forward to reading the books but looking forward to your quilt pictures even more. I am trying to convince my friend to make it too!! (too complicated for me).

You are so funny..... I think it good that you did the 'calming' read before tackling your project. Do you have your chocolates and calming music or video on for your day?

I love it...you're reading when you have an enormous deadline!!! You go girl! The book is on my list!

Thanks for the "great" review, Karen. It's like hearing someone say "what a beautiful quilt" or "did you lose weight?".
