Is this 'journalism' ?

And does it represent the sentiments of the people of Lincoln NE?

Wow, that was a ridiculous article! Thanks for sharing, Aida.

Destroy American culture, language, and borders so we have nothing left but the loud, disgusting views of the liberal left morons with their endless appetite to devour all that is moral and good in America.

I wonder if this same idiot stands praising the US government for sending billions of taxpayer dollars to countries that absolutely hates us, calls for our destruction, and plots against us daily.  But by George - STOP THE FUNDING of that Quilt Museum at all costs!!!

As has been stated about quilting - there are major and side industries that support our economy.  The rich history and modern story of quilting are to be held in the highest regard!

Well, my canary has more intelligence in its tiny brain that this person whose brain must be in a state of atrophy and does not realize his own debilitated condition!

Oh, yes, that is my feeling!  :)

What inspired this drivel? The sad thing is the number of people who will take this writer's side. No one has mentioned the the ecomonics of the sewing machine, longarm machine, irons, toys, rotary cutters, as well as the fabrics--the huge influx of tourist dollars into state and local economies. Our little show, in our little town, helps support charities, vendors and even the city coffers make money on the rental of the building.

I read the article, and numerous of the responses the writer got.  The most informed and articulate answer was from another  journalist.  Boy, they put him in his place!  And Linda's take on the said writer is spot on!  Too bad he didn't do some solid research before he tried to write about what he didn't know!

I don't begin to understand the funding part but it smacks to me of someone who has never been loved enough to receive a handmade quilt. If everyone bought the foreign goods what would happen to American cotton, quilt shops.I think when you look at your magazines, your TV programmes, quilt shops etc. it is obviously big business.  My 2 pennorth.

Interesting article...there are some people who would like to ignore history and only live for the day and what they can grab for themselves. Obviously, this person is only writing for a paycheck.
