Quilt With Us

I'm wanting to get some ideas on good muslin to purchase that also lends itself to hand quilting.  A friend has asked me to assemble a quilt top using some butterfly blocks her aunt made probably in the 1940's.  These are all attached to a muslin base with various embroidery stitches.  I want to also surprise her & hand quilt the top before I give it back to her so any suggestions as to the brand of muslin you prefer would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.  Janet

Definitely Moda. It blends wonderfully with the 30's repros.

I'm so glad that Moda makes that wonderful muslin.  I had almost given up on using muslin in my quilts until my LQS owner suggested the Moda.

I agree with the group.  The Moda muslin is wonderful to work with.

I agree, Moda makes an excellent muslin.  Just make sure you do not get the 200 thread count.

I buy Moda muslin by the bolt. I love it and usually purchase it from Hancocks of Paducah. I used it in the Simple 4 Patch quilt on my page. It's paired with Moda Nouveau.

Moda makes a good quality muslin. It comes in white and tan.  I have used it for embrodery blocks.
