Quilt With Us

I wrote on my blog eariler today but I guess it didn't work its not showing up here. I have one more week until we move to our new home. I have been packing everything and I am almost finshed. The one room that I cannot bring myself to pack is of course my "Quilters Den". I just can't seem to get myself to pack everything up in the quilting room and then not have anywhere to go. In fact I will probably be packing it as the movers are moving the rest of the furniture into the moving truck. It's a total addiction for me and the thought of not being able to hide in my room to work on my treasures whenever the urge creeps up on me makes me weak. Several times over the course of a day my dog Gracie head into this room. Gracie knows the drill when we go into their. She runs straight over to the chair in the corner beside the window and will watch out the window or fall into a deep sleep..she just luvs this room too.

I will deffinately be packing it last on the truck then I will work on setting up the "New Quilters Den" as soon as we arrive at the new house..Don't worry, if I am needed my family will know where to find me.

Moving is Soooo stressful. I think keeping out a special box or project in a bag is the only way to endure. I hope your new home has a space for the chair and Gracie. (I have a Gracie too--she's my special friend) If you have handwork, like applique, it will help ease your need to touch fabric.

One of the last times I moved, I kept one box "unpacked" and it held everything for a project. I kept it with me, and even took it and my machine in my car so I would know exactly where it would be when I arrived at the new house.
