Quilt With Us

My First Free Pattern & A Giveaway!

We just happen to have the perfect tree outside our building for hanging quilts from for photography. It was the same sunny day that we took the picture for the Quick 'n Easy Color Block Quilt which also happens to be out of the Bold Samplers. Like I said before I love them!

One of the ladies from my Fast & Furious group told us about a free pattern for a stacked coin quilt and I thought it was cute but felt it should be a Quilt As You Go. I looked around and couldn't find a free quilt as you go in this design so thought I would try it. Sure enough it worked out great, it was fast and easy which allowed me to get it done in time for my cousin Codie's baby shower. I gave her this quilt because I think that it will be a great one to put down on the floor for the baby to have tummy time on with all the bright colors and different patterns. Here is a picture of her after she opened it. I loved using quilts for this since they don't bunch up like other types of blankets and they have a little bit of padding for the baby.

If you are interested in making this quilt here is the link to the free pattern Quilt As You Go Coins Quilt. Karen and I also made a video for the Quilt As You Go method! Click on this link if you would like to watch it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kArIng_1Nzc

As part of our "summer of samplers", one lucky commenter can win the fabrics featured in this post, which would be 2 Bold Charms and 1 Light Charms. Simply leave a comment by 7/13/10, and I will draw the name of one lucky winner using a random number generator. Good luck!

This stacked coin quilt looks so bright and energizing!! I have just the right material to start one. And, I have three baby showers coming up thru November. Now to just decide which to give to which one.
Thanks so much for the pattern.

Am downloading this pattern to use some of the children's prints I have been wanting to put to use looks like a fun quilt for both giver and reciever. Could be enlarged and used for Batiks quite easily.
Have some of those as well. Thanks for the great pattern and ideas GM

I love how that quilt looks hanging out in the sunshine. Maybe when the sun comes back I'll do hang some of mine out. The sun makes stuff smell so clean and fresh!

Beautiful quilt! I love the bright colors which would work great for a baby boy or girl quilt. My longarm quilter is the best but I think I might try the quilt as you go for something different. Thanks
