Quilt With Us

I just had to tell about my new frixion gel pen.  Maybe I'm late and you all know about them but I just discovered it.  Better late than never.  I've been using it and it's the best thing yet!  It actually disappears with a touch of the iron.  No more battling to get marks out.  I've only used the black but would like to get some lighter colors to see if they work on dark fabric.  If any of you have used them, give me your input.

I have used them and love them. I have the black, blue and red. I showed my mom how they work and she wants to get some for herself.

Great tip, J.S.  Always like to hear of tried & true products.  I read where the problem with the marks returning in the cold isn't an issue after laundering the quilt.  Might be worth it to do a test run if someone is concerned about the marks returning.

I bought an 8 pack and love them.  I only wish that there was a white or light yellow maybe.  I had not heard about them returning in the cold.  I guess I will give that a try although it won't matter to me since I don't plan to put my quilts in cold storage. lol

I haven't used them, but have friends who swear by them, and say they are wonderful.  I was just reading a review from an ALASKAN source complaining about the marks coming back in the cold.  It might be a problem in Fairbanks  They were not convinced that the marks washed out.

A friend gave me one of the black ones and I really like it.  I need to buy some of the lighter ones as well.

I have one in black and one in pink.  The pink works really well on dark colors.  Sometimes on a dark fabric there is a trace of white left when I iron, nothing too serious though.  After I'd used mine for a while, I had to buy one for a friend, too.  I haven't tested the freezer thing yet, nor do I plan to use my quilts for a winter picnic, so I'm not to concerned there.

That's what I read that they would come back at 14 degrees.  Amazon had some in light colors.  I read and it said they would disappear with heat so thought I'd try them.

I love mine too........I've had them(black & purple) for over a year and they are great! I wish they had them in lighter colors, but haven't seen them yet. In case you don't know.....I was told if you need the markings back, you can put your project in the freezer and the markings will come back until it is laundered. Anyway, that is what they told me when I bought my first one although I have not tried it.
