Quilt With Us

I finally finished it.  I was determined to throw it away but I finished the last three squares friday.  After that I was going to put all 30 squares in a box and never look at them again.  This morning I decided to go ahead and sew the top together.  I finished it and am so glad it is over.  I have not had a top stress me out as much as this one has.  I think I am going to give it to my oldest son, Zachary when he graduates.  He came in and saw that I was sewing it together this morning.  He then told me " I knew you would finish it."  I think that is a sign that it should be his.

This quilt top is gorgeous but it would stress me out too!!  Too finite for me but for someone who has the patience this is truly a beautiful quilt.  Your son is one lucky fellow!!

WOW!  That is so beautiful!  I'm so proud of you for finishing it, and I think you're right about your son getting it.  He'll appreciate all the hours you agonized over it, and love it all the more because of it.

That's fairly complex - I'm impressed you kept going.  It's beautiful!

Congratulations on finishing the top! It is wonderful, so full of color and life! I have a hard time making scrappy things, when the colors don't go the way I want them to, I get frustrated. Good for you for sticking to it!

Good job. That's a great scrappy quilt. I agree, it sound's like you've determined the new owner.

I would be tempted to just stitch in the ditch on this one. I think anything fancier would be lost on it.

The block is 16"x16".  I am so thankful for all of the great support and comments.  I am so glad that I finished it and now am trying to figure out how to quilt it.  I really wished that we could get a like button on these comments everyone is so great on here.

A job completed is always satisfying. And I know you will be happy that you have finished it. It is a very pretty quilt! I'm just now working on a Disappearing 9 Patch top and my need for symetry and order has come thru as it isn't nearly as "scrappy" looking as some I have seen. That's just me!
