Quilt With Us

My second buddy come to visit too.

I have another one I have been trying to get done too, it is a little more work. I only need 291 baskets and I am at 157 so I thought it time to start the border blocks and then put it up on the design wall. Well I am very pleased so far with the results. I have used alot of my scraps to make the baskets and backgrounds. This pattern is from Black Bird Designs book called When the Cold Wind Blows, they are one of my favorite designers. The pattern is called trick or treat. These are all hand appliqued and I will machine piece then hand quilt. I have a ways to go but I am getting there. You will see some without the squares cut and they look better they others I will do as I go along. You will see some fussy cutting on some of the blocks as well. This quilt will be a great conversation piece when it is done. I can hear quilters say, I have that fabric and that too. Remember I just threw these up they are not strategically placed you can see some great values of lights, mediums, and darks.

What a beauty!  What size are the blocks?  Are they appliqued?  Sorry, I just joined and I'm trying to figure how to do this and stumbled across your quilt pic.

Really nice - and I especially like the border blocks.

Another beauty.  I agree with Peggy - looks like an antique.  Those traditional looking quilts are my favorite.  I like the border blocks as well.
